October 14, 2025 - THANK YOU!
On behalf of the Canadian Cholangiocarcinoma Collaborative (C3) and the event organizing team, we want to extend our deepest thanks for your generous support of the Défi CholangioCycle Challenge, the first-ever national fundraiser in support of cholangiocarcinoma.
Because of your donation, this inaugural event was more than just a cycling challenge, it became a powerful movement of hope, awareness, and action.
Recap of the CholangioCycle:
✅Heard the stories and rode alongside our 5 amazing Ambassadors
✅Raised a ton of awareness for cholangiocarcinoma
✅Created 22 team fundraising pages from across Canada
✅Reached our goal of raising $50,000 from 452 generous donations
✅Had 3 Monday Matchdays, adding $2,000 in matched donations from 3 generous donors
✅Partnered with 6 incredible sponsors
- Spin Énergie
- Kegel Heating and Cooling
- Heat-line Freeze Protection Systems
- Parkway Motors Auto Group
- Owayo
- Shop Santé
✅Hosted a C3 Chat on Active Living with Cancer featuring Jodi Steele and Corri Desaulniers
✅Logged 8,239 km from 40 CholangioCycle Participants
Your contribution is helping fund critical research, expand patient support, and raise national awareness through the C3 for a rare and often underrepresented cancer. Every kilometer pedaled and every dollar raised brought us closer to earlier diagnoses, better treatments, and a future filled with hope for the individuals and families affected by cholangiocarcinoma. You didn’t just give – you made a difference!
Thank you again, for riding with us on this journey. We are forever grateful for your belief in this cause and your commitment to changing lives.

On behalf of the Canadian Cholangiocarcinoma Collaborative, I want to extend my sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the CholangioCycle Challenge. Your generous support helped to raise direct funds for cholangiocarcinoma research and extraordinary awareness for cholangiocarcinoma across Canada. I was deeply moved by the stories and photos shared by participants nationwide. Each person reflects the strength, compassion, and determination that define this community. Your efforts have given my family and me renewed hope for a cure, and they continue to inspire our researchers to advance the science that will one day make that hope a reality. Together, we are building momentum, raising visibility, and demonstrating the remarkable impact that a united community can achieve!
~ Dr. Rebecca Auer - C3 Co-Founder
On behalf of the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS), I want to extend my sincere thanks to the participants, donors, and sponsors of the CholangioCycle Challenge. At CCS, we believe that profound progress is possible when we act together. Thanks to you, together we can make life better today and transform the future of cholangiocarcinoma cancer forever.
As the saying goes, ‘It takes a village.’ But to take on cancer, it takes more than a village. Thank you all for helping create better treatments, better care, better support – can only happen when we work together.
Congratulations on a very successful fundraiser!
