Dr. Ilkow is an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa and an early-career researcher at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. Her research focuses on innovative biotherapeutics for cancer treatment, such as oncolytic viruses and exosome-based therapies. She has published 22 peer-reviewed articles and filed three patents in the past five years, with a strong collaborative approach involving leading experts in the cancer immunotherapy field. Dr. Ilkow is a huge proponent for training the next generation of researchers and plays a key role in the CanPRIME training program which trains HQP in the Canadian biotherapeutics sector. Her goal is to make a positive impact on cancer treatment and offer lasting hopeto patients and their families.

The granting funds for C3 are managed by The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, which serves as the lead institute for all collaborative operations.
